Which Suspensions Can Be Sold and Which Cannot
The cause on the notice decides it. For a fixable cause we postpone the purchase until Amazon clears it, and the account still has to meet our other criteria. Three causes are a hard no, at any price: fraud, counterfeit, and a related-account ban.

An IP complaint is a different kind of problem from a metrics suspension. Where a seller has had multiple warnings of IP infringement, Amazon's IP policy asks for a list of the allegedly infringing ASINs plus proof the products are genuine: invoices, order IDs, or an authorization letter from the rights owner. For a suspension caused by IP notices, Amazon says you appeal through your account dashboard or by replying to the suspension notice. It also says: "Note that Amazon terminates the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances."

What Happens on the Call If Your Account Is Suspended?

The reason is the agreement. The Asset Purchase Agreement is the signed contract that records the sale as a business asset sale. Should You Appeal Before You Sell?
Yes, if the cause is fixable and you want to sell to us, because we only buy an account once it is back in good standing. No, if the notice says fraud, counterfeit or a related account: an appeal will not change our answer. We do not offer reinstatement, so the appeal is yours to run.
Amazon describes its appeal on its appeal page: "You may be asked to submit a questionnaire, acknowledge a violation, complete a quiz, or provide supporting documents." That page does not say how long an appeal takes, and we do not put a timeline or an outcome on it either.

What Amazon Says About Selling an Account
Amazon's transfer page says the same thing whether the account is healthy or suspended: "If the ownership of a business changes for any reason, the new owner must establish a new seller account." A reply on Amazon's own seller forum puts it more bluntly: "You can't sell an account. Doesn't matter if it's suspended or not."

Why You Should Not Open a Second Account
Some suspended sellers think about a new LLC, a new tax ID and a new bank account to get back on quietly. Amazon's selling policies are plain about where that ends: "If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing."
A hidden second account risks the new account and poisons the one you wanted to sell, because a linked-account suspension is a hard no. Having had more than one account is not an automatic no for us; what matters is that they were kept apart, with different information in each. How the Sale Closes Once the Account Is Back in Good Standing

How Long Does It Take, and When Are You Paid?
Once the account is back in good standing, a deal usually closes in one to three weeks. The transfer call is booked within 10 business days of the escrow being funded, and Escrow.com releases your money on that call, the moment you hand over access.

How long Amazon takes to reinstate the account is Amazon's clock, and its appeal page does not state one. After the sale, Amazon may run its own check of the new owner. What About a Suspended eBay Account?

eBay's help page on selling an account says: "In the interest of protecting our buyers and sellers, and maintaining a safe marketplace, you can't sell your eBay account or change its ownership." eBay's own help page also says a suspended seller's payouts may be held until the suspension is lifted.
eBay's account restrictions and suspensions page says reinstatement depends on the reason: "Getting your account reinstated may be as simple as waiting for a temporary suspension to end, making changes to your listings, or sending us some more information". Do you help with reinstatement or the appeal?
No. Reinstatement and appeals are not services we offer, and we do not name anyone who does. What we can tell you on the call is whether the cause on your notice is one we would buy once Amazon clears it.
Is it legal to sell a suspended Amazon seller account?
Amazon's Business Solutions Agreement has an assignment clause. It says: "You may not assign this Agreement, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent."
